5 days/4 nights DBB, at the well appointed Queen Hotel, Chester. Walk through the entrance of the magnificent brick and stucco Italianate hotel and you're following some extraordinary guests. Since opening in 1860 to serve first class rail passengers, they've entertained the likes of Charles Dickens, Cecil Rhodes and Lillie Langtry. The hotel has many firsts, It's the original railway hotel, the first of its kind built to service the many railway travellers to the city. With no other blueprints upon which to base the hotel’s design their architecture is unique. A lift serves all floors, it's a short walk into the city.
Monday: We depart Blackpool and the Fylde via our door to door taxi pickup service, arriving at the hotel in time for check in and evening meal.
Tuesday: We travel to Llangollen and Trevor for an all included canal cruise over the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
Wednesday: We travel via the Wirrall to Liverpool and its famous waterfront for an included sightseeing coach tour with full commentary with our local tour guide.
Thursday: Free day at leisure in and around Chester. Lots to see and do, with the river just a short walk away so you can enjoy a leisurely sail. (don't forget your buss pass).
Friday: After breakfast we depart for our journey back to Blackpool and the Fylde, to meet our return door to door taxi service.
